Senior UX Designer

About the role

We are expanding our UX Design Team at NLS and are looking for a Senior UX Designer to lead design initiatives, manage complex design artifacts, and mentor junior designers. You will work on a cross‑functional team delivering a Duck Creek commercial policy product for a property & casualty insurance client.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain design systems and style guides to ensure consistency across products.
• Conduct user research and validation, integrating feedback into design improvements.
• Collaborate with product management, engineering, and other stakeholders to align designs with user and business needs.
• Create wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes using Figma.
• Interpret business requirements and present design solutions to internal teams and clients.
• Work closely with development teams to ensure design feasibility and perform quality testing.

Required profile

• 5+ years of UX design experience with a strong portfolio demonstrating impact.
• Expertise in information architecture, wireframing, and prototyping.
• Proficiency with modern UX methodologies and design tools, especially Figma.
• Strong collaboration skills and experience working with cross‑functional teams.
• Ability to balance user needs, business goals, and technical constraints.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent hands‑on experience.
• Insurance industry experience is a plus but not required.
