Pre Press Technician

About the role

MM Packaging is looking for a detail‑oriented Pre Press Technician to join its Prepress Team in Guaynabo, Puerto Rico. You will prepare customer artwork and production files for high‑quality folding‑carton printing, ensuring accuracy, color consistency, and compliance with production standards.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and verify customer artwork and production files to ensure they are press‑ready.
• Perform preflight inspections, apply trapping, color corrections, separations, impositions, and generate proofs for customer approval.
• Maintain color accuracy, barcode compliance, and adherence to ICC profiles and printing standards.
• Collaborate with Structural Design, Production, and Quality teams to resolve technical issues.
• Operate and perform routine maintenance on the plate processor.
• Organize digital files, documentation, and workflow records while supporting continuous‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Associate degree in Graphic Arts or related field (Bachelor’s degree is a plus).
• Minimum 2 years of experience in prepress, graphic arts, or packaging production.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet production deadlines.
• Team player who can also work independently.
