Senior Transmission Line Engineer (Hybrid)

About the role

The Senior Transmission Line Engineer will design, analyze, and support transmission lines ranging from 69 kV to 500 kV. You will apply your expertise in conductors, hardware, insulation, structures, foundations and electrical principles while working in a hybrid environment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop design criteria, routing, and siting for high‑voltage transmission lines.
• Perform conductor selection, shielding, grounding and induction studies.
• Prepare cost analyses, proposals and detailed cost estimates for new projects.
• Coordinate with vendors, clients and multidisciplinary project teams.
• Lead a small project team, mentor less‑experienced staff, and interact directly with clients.
• Conduct occasional site visits and travel for client meetings.

Required profile

• Degree from an ABET‑accredited engineering program.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in transmission line design, cost estimating, scheduling and construction documentation.
• Proficiency with PLS‑CADD for reviewing transmission line models.
• Bilingual in Spanish and English (read, speak, write).
• Strong knowledge of design codes and standards such as NESC, IEC, CSA, IEEE, ANSI, IBC, ASCE 7, AISC and ACI 318.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with high attention to detail.
