Senior Technical Project Manager – FinTech (Portugal)

About the role

This senior‑level position is based in Portugal and focuses on delivering innovative fintech products across digital finance, payments and blockchain ecosystems. You will lead complex mobile and platform initiatives, ensuring predictability, transparency and operational excellence while collaborating with product, engineering and executive stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Own the end‑to‑end delivery lifecycle of mobile and fintech product initiatives, from discovery through post‑release optimisation.
• Manage project forecasting, timelines and execution governance to maintain high predictability.
• Maintain project tracking systems, documentation and transparent reporting of progress, risks and dependencies.
• Translate business requirements into detailed user stories, acceptance criteria and development‑ready tasks.
• Facilitate cross‑functional communication, resolve technical and operational challenges, and drive continuous improvement in sprint planning and delivery standards.
• Act as a trusted liaison between leadership and technical teams, ensuring strategic priorities are executed without unnecessary executive intervention.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in IT project management, delivery management or technical program management within fintech or other regulated industries.
• Strong technical background in software development, quality assurance or business analysis.
• Proven ability to manage cross‑functional software development teams in agile environments.
• Excellent stakeholder management, facilitation and communication skills.
