Senior System Administrator – IT Infrastructure

About the role

Banco Finantia is seeking a Senior System Administrator to join its Systems & Telecommunications Department. You will be responsible for maintaining the stability, security and performance of the bank’s Windows and Linux environments, virtual platforms and related services.

Key responsibilities

• Administer Windows and Linux servers, including installation, configuration, updates and hardening.
• Manage virtualized environments (VMware and/or Hyper‑V) to ensure high availability.
• Handle Active Directory, Group Policy Objects and certificate infrastructure (CA/PKI) with strict access‑control policies.
• Implement information‑security controls, support audits, conduct vulnerability assessments and mitigate risks.
• Oversee backup and recovery processes using Veeam, guaranteeing data integrity and business continuity.
• Configure and monitor Check Point firewalls to protect network traffic.
• Install, configure and monitor SQL Server instances, tracking resource usage.
• Participate in continuous‑improvement projects, infrastructure migrations and documentation.

Required profile

• Degree in Computer Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in system administration (Windows/Linux).
• Fluent in English (spoken and written); Spanish is a plus.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities, able to work under pressure.
• Team‑oriented with solid organizational and analytical skills.
