Senior Software Engineer

About the role

Talkdesk is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join its engineering team that builds the next generation of its platform using a micro‑service architecture. You will work on scalable, stable, and user‑friendly products while collaborating in an agile environment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain microservices and APIs in Kotlin, Java and Spring Boot.
• Design scalable solutions that support current capacity and future growth.
• Collaborate with product and other engineering teams across clusters and business units.
• Act as a technical guide, documenting architecture and writing hands‑on code.
• Implement integrations with external systems using APIs, middleware and custom development.
• Advocate for automated testing, continuous integration and continuous deployment.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Applied Mathematics or a related engineering field.
• 5+ years of experience in software development, especially cloud‑based applications.
• Strong object‑oriented programming skills and experience with cloud databases.
• Deep understanding of Service‑Oriented Architecture, API design and event‑driven architectures.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
