Senior Simulation Engineer

About the role

Datamentors is building next‑generation autonomous robotics that combine advanced AI, robotics, and proprietary Vision‑Language‑Action models. As a Senior Simulation Engineer you will own the end‑to‑end simulation pipeline that trains and validates robots across multiple sectors, ensuring high‑fidelity virtual environments translate effectively to real‑world performance.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain high‑fidelity simulation environments in MuJoCo and Isaac Sim for hospitality, healthcare, defence, energy, and sports applications.
• Implement domain randomisation pipelines covering lighting, object placement, surface friction, sensor noise, and clothing physics.
• Define and own a framework to measure the sim‑to‑real gap, determining when simulations are trustworthy.
• Integrate simulation outputs with Vision‑Language‑Action training and evaluation pipelines.
• Collaborate closely with AI, robotics, and 3D design teams to create realistic assets and ensure simulation relevance for deployments.

Required profile

• 5+ years of hands‑on robotics simulation experience with both MuJoCo and Isaac Sim.
• Proven ability to convert physical environments into simulation‑ready training scenes.
• Strong Python programming skills and experience building simulation data pipelines.
• Deep understanding of rigid‑body physics, contact models, and sim‑to‑real methodology.
• Experience working with cross‑functional AI, robotics, and 3D teams.
