Senior Project Management Officer (Hybrid, Lisbon)

About the role

KCS IT is seeking a Senior Project Management Officer to lead IT projects for banking and financial services clients. The role is based in Lisbon and follows a hybrid work model, requiring the candidate to already reside in Portugal.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and deliver IT projects using both Scrum (Agile) and Waterfall methodologies.
• Gather and analyse requirements, produce functional specifications and maintain project documentation in Confluence or Azure DevOps.
• Manage project budgets, financial tracking and reporting.
• Coordinate with stakeholders and clients, ensuring alignment with banking terminology, processes and governance.
• Ensure compliance with the Digital Operational Resilience Act (DORA) throughout project lifecycles.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience as an IT Project Manager, Product Owner or similar role.
• Proven experience delivering banking or financial services projects (strongly preferred).
• Fluent Portuguese; English is a strong plus.
• Excellent communication, organization, negotiation and problem‑solving abilities.
