Senior Mobile Developer – Android

About the role

Wire IT, a Portugal‑based IT consulting firm, is looking for an experienced Senior Mobile Developer focused on Android. You will work remotely, contributing to innovative projects for a growing international client base.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Android applications using Kotlin and Java.
• Implement modern UI with Jetpack Compose (Compose Multiplatform is a plus).
• Handle asynchronous operations using Coroutines or RxJava.
• Apply MVVM or similar software architecture patterns.
• Write comprehensive unit and UI tests to ensure code quality.

Required profile

• 7+ years of professional experience in Android development.
• Senior‑level expertise with a strong focus on clean, maintainable code.
• Ability to work fully remote and collaborate in an agile, team‑oriented environment.

Required skills

• Kotlin (Kotlin Multiplatform is a plus)
• Java (for legacy code)
• Jetpack Compose (Compose Multiplatform is a plus)
• Coroutines or RxJava
• MVVM (or similar architecture)
• Unit testing and UI testing
• XML
