(Senior) Medical Director – Dermatology/Allergology/Immunology/Rheumatology (EMEA)

About the role

The (Senior) Medical Director will lead medical support and safety evaluation for dermatology, allergology, immunology and rheumatology clinical trials within Thermo Fisher Scientific’s PPD Pharmacovigilance department. You will work closely with study teams, investigators and internal functions to ensure scientific rigor and patient safety across the trial lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Provide medical leadership to study teams, including protocol development, site selection and review of clinical documents such as CSRs, ICFs and CRFs.
• Conduct real‑time medical monitoring of trials, validate primary endpoints and ensure early identification of safety issues.
• Serve as the primary liaison between the sponsor and all internal PPD departments throughout all study phases.
• Educate investigator sites on protocol‑specific laboratory procedures and deliver training at investigator meetings.
• Act as the medical point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, responding to queries from investigators, IRBs and health authorities.
• Ensure compliance with SOPs, GCP and all relevant regulatory requirements.

Required profile

• Medical degree (MD or equivalent) with experience in dermatology or related therapeutic areas.
• Proven experience in clinical trial medical leadership and safety monitoring.
• Strong understanding of clinical trial documentation and regulatory processes.
