Senior Internal Auditor – Lisbon/Porto (Hybrid)

About the role

GuardadDellent is seeking a Senior Internal Auditor to join its hybrid project team in Portugal. You will work on digital transformation and energy transition initiatives, delivering end‑to‑end audit solutions for finance, sales, projects and compliance functions.

Key responsibilities

• Organise, plan and execute audits across multiple business areas in regional offices.
• Design and customise audit programmes to reflect local processes.
• Document audit work, findings and recommendations thoroughly.
• Assess the adequacy and effectiveness of financial, process and management controls.
• Discuss audit results and risks with process owners and senior management.
• Prepare comprehensive audit reports with practical, cost‑effective recommendations.
• Prioritise issues based on impact and collaborate with auditees on remediation.
• Continuously develop expertise in critical business processes.

Required profile

• 4‑5 years of professional audit experience.
• Degree in economics, business administration or a related field; CPA or equivalent postgraduate qualification.
• Experience working with international clients or within an international internal audit department.
• Strong knowledge of internal controls, especially COSO framework.
• Ability to contextualise detailed findings within broader control environments.
• Excellent communication skills to liaise with senior finance, sales and operations leaders.
• Team‑oriented mindset, flexibility and willingness to travel.
• Fluent English.
