Senior Data Scientist

About the role

Mindera is looking for a Senior Data Scientist to join an agile, collaborative team. You will partner closely with leadership, marketing and product teams, and work directly with clients to turn complex business challenges into data‑driven solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with marketing and product teams to define business problems and relevant data metrics.
• Design, build, monitor and iteratively improve statistical models for marketing spend optimisation and product growth.
• Create clear narratives and visualisations that translate model outputs for non‑technical audiences.
• Rapidly prototype hypotheses, validate insights and move them into production with minimal mentorship.
• Provide technical consultation on modelling approaches, selecting and combining methods that fit specific marketing contexts.

Required profile

• Senior‑level individual contributor capable of leading complex data‑science initiatives with significant independence.
• Creative problem‑solver who can build compelling stories from raw data.
• Influential communicator able to work across all organisational levels to shape product and marketing strategy.

Required skills

• Expert proficiency in Python or R (including libraries such as CausalImpact and RStan).
• Advanced SQL for data manipulation and structuring.
• Hands‑on experience with major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Familiarity with Databricks and Snowflake is a plus.
