Senior Business Analyst – Leadership Role in Business Systems & Risk

About the role

Popular is seeking a Senior Business Analyst to lead the Customer Service Reporting unit within the SBG Business Systems & Risk Division. This hybrid position combines strategic analysis, data management, and team leadership to drive operational insight and process automation.

Key responsibilities

• Develop detailed business analyses that identify problems, opportunities, and actionable solutions for management.
• Prepare dashboards, reports, strategic plans, variance analyses, and forecasting activities, highlighting key performance metrics.
• Perform data management and quantitative analysis using appropriate tools, ensuring data accuracy, integrity, and reliability.
• Apply statistical methods to collect, organize, interpret, and summarize numerical data into meaningful insights.
• Maintain and oversee multiple databases, integrating internal and external data sources.
• Identify trends, patterns, and variances, recommending corrective actions to improve departmental performance and compliance.
• Lead and supervise a team of analysts, guiding projects through all deliverable phases.
• Prepare presentations and documentation summarizing analyses for senior management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Minimum three (3) years of experience in data analysis, data science, or a similar analytical role.
• Minimum three (3) years of experience supervising and leading teams.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into strategic recommendations.
