Senior Architect

About the role

Colaborativa Arquitectura is seeking a Senior Architect to lead the design and delivery of architectural projects from concept through construction documentation. This full‑time, hybrid position blends on‑site collaboration in San Juan with flexible remote work.

Key responsibilities

• Develop architectural proposals and guide design standards for medium to large‑scale projects.
• Oversee technical documentation, ensuring code compliance and high‑quality deliverables.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary inputs from engineers, consultants, and digital‑tool specialists.
• Manage project timelines, budgets, and resource planning.
• Integrate BIM, parametric design, and automation workflows into project delivery.
• Mentor junior team members and participate in client meetings.
• Contribute to the evolution of the collaborative practice model.

Required profile

• Professional degree in Architecture with licensure (or eligibility) in Puerto Rico or equivalent jurisdiction.
• Proven experience leading medium to large‑scale architectural projects.
• Strong project‑management skills, including scheduling, budgeting, and stakeholder coordination.
• Ability to work collaboratively in interdisciplinary teams.
• Fluency in Spanish and professional working proficiency in English (preferred).
