Senior Accounts Payable – Payments

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Accounts Payable professional to join our Global Business Services team in Lisbon. You will be responsible for managing payment processes, ensuring accuracy, and supporting internal customers with timely financial transactions.

Key responsibilities

• Create, analyse and execute payment proposals.
• Manage intercompany payments and urgent payment requests.
• Analyse vendor accounts and maintain payment forecasts.
• Prepare financial reports related to payments.
• Utilise internal and external banking tools to process transactions.
• Investigate and resolve payment issues while adhering to compliance and internal controls.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and implement process enhancements.

Required profile

• Accountant with experience in the payments process.
• Finance or Accounting degree, or equivalent administrative accounting experience.
• Familiarity with standard accounting concepts, practices and procedures.
• Strong attention to detail, organisational and time‑management skills.
• Professional, self‑oriented, able to prioritise and troubleshoot efficiently.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Intermediate English proficiency.
