Rotating Equipment Engineer - Operations

About the role

SBM Offshore is seeking a Rotating Equipment Engineer to provide technical expertise to offshore teams and related departments. You will support maintenance and repair activities, drive continuous improvement, and ensure alignment with the company’s strategic objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical support for defining maintenance scope, parts, and tool requirements.
• Develop actionable plans and advise management on technical decisions to enhance operability and revenue.
• Raise Technical Notes and Guidelines as a recognized Technical Expert.
• Support regulatory, internal, and client audits to ensure compliance with industry standards.
• Implement best practices, monitor class issues, and follow up on regulatory requirements.
• Manage inventory of parts and tools to guarantee availability.
• Contribute to Technical Risk Assessments (TRA) and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Assist in start‑up and shut‑down procedures for safe and efficient operations.
• Support Root Cause Analyses (RCA) and related investigations.

Required profile

• Technical background in rotating equipment and offshore operations.
• Ability to develop and communicate technical recommendations.
• Experience supporting audits and ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Strong analytical skills for risk assessments and continuous improvement.
