Risk Officer Trainee

About the role

Bison Bank is seeking a proactive and analytical Risk Officer Trainee to join its Global Risk and Reporting Department. This hands‑on position offers recent graduates the chance to work closely with senior risk professionals, including the Head of Global Risk and Reporting, while gaining practical experience in risk management, reporting, internal controls, and data analysis.

Key responsibilities

• Support the preparation and continuous improvement of risk reports, dashboards, and management information.
• Assist in identifying, assessing, monitoring, and documenting risks across the bank.
• Contribute to periodic reporting on the bank’s risk profile for senior management and governing bodies.
• Help prepare and review regulatory risk reports and related documentation.
• Document internal controls, risk assessments, methodologies, processes, and supporting evidence.
• Monitor implementation of risk mitigation measures and follow‑up actions.
• Perform data quality checks and support analysis of risk‑related information.
• Participate in data, reporting, and automation initiatives using Excel, SQL, or Python.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, controls, reporting tools, and ways of working.
• Collaborate with various departments to collect, validate, and consolidate information for risk management and reporting.

Required profile

• Recent graduate with a Master’s degree in Economics, Finance, Management, Accounting, Auditing, Data Science, Analytics, Business Intelligence, Computer Science or a related field.
• Strong analytical ability and meticulous attention to detail.
• Genuine interest in banking and risk management.
