Retail Channel Associate (Teller) – Customer Service

About the role

The Retail Channel Associate (Teller) provides high‑quality, efficient service to bank customers in Guayama. The role combines transactional duties with proactive promotion of the bank’s products, ensuring compliance with all regulations and internal policies.

Key responsibilities

• Process deposits, withdrawals, check cashing, payments, transfers and other teller transactions with precision.
• Maintain cash drawer limits, balance the fund at shift end, and report discrepancies.
• Handle customer inquiries, resolve routine issues, and refer complex matters to appropriate departments.
• Monitor and report any suspicious activity in accordance with AML guidelines.
• Promote bank products and identify cross‑selling opportunities, directing customers to specialized staff.
• Maintain accurate logs, registers, and transaction records.

Required profile

• Associate or technical degree in Business Administration or related field, or equivalent experience.
• At least one year of retail, customer‑service, or cash‑handling experience.
• Fully bilingual in English and Spanish (written and verbal) preferred.
• Strong mathematical ability, detail‑oriented, and capable of multitasking.
• Proactive problem‑solver with good communication skills.

Required skills

• Experience using Microsoft Visio.
