Restaurant Shift Leader – Front of House

About the role

Olala! is seeking a proactive Shift Leader to manage the day‑to‑day operations of its restaurant in Cascais. You will be the operational backbone during your shift, ensuring seamless guest experiences, team performance, and compliance with all standards.

Key responsibilities

• Open and close the outlet following established checklists and procedures.
• Oversee all front‑of‑house activities, including floor service, bar support, and kitchen liaison.
• Manage table flow, reservations, and waitlists to maximise covers and minimise wait times.
• Supervise, brief and motivate the FOH team, assign stations and side duties, and address coverage gaps in real time.
• Handle cash counts, reconcile floats, monitor stock levels, and log wastage or breakage.
• Ensure full compliance with HACCP, food‑safety, hygiene, and responsible alcohol service regulations.
• Complete shift reports covering covers, revenue highlights, incidents and handover notes.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience in food & beverage service.
• At least 1 year in a supervisory or team‑lead role.
• Strong customer‑service orientation with the ability to resolve complaints promptly.
• Excellent communication, grooming and punctuality standards.

• HACCP knowledge and implementation.
• Food safety and hygiene compliance.
