Restaurant Server

About the role

The Restaurant Server provides attentive, courteous, and efficient service to guests at Highgate Hotels' newly built beachfront property. The role involves taking orders, delivering food and beverages, handling payments, and ensuring a memorable dining experience.

Key responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and maintain a friendly, helpful attitude at all times.
• Know the layout of restaurants, lounges, and room service areas and understand each position’s function.
• Maintain thorough knowledge of menus, specials, and beverage offerings.
• Serve food and drinks promptly, pre‑bus tables after each course, and keep stations stocked and tidy.
• Operate the POS system, process payments, close checks, and complete end‑of‑shift paperwork.
• Perform opening and closing duties, side‑work, and adhere to established checklists.
• Upsell menu items and promotional offers to enhance guest satisfaction.
• Answer telephone calls, handle fire‑extinguisher protocols, and follow safety standards.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail, reliability, and a team‑oriented mindset.

Required skills

• Proficiency with POS (point‑of‑sale) systems.
