Reliability Test Engineer – Hydraulics

About the role

We are looking for a Reliability Test Engineer specialized in hydraulics to join our engineering team in Aveiro. You will design and execute test plans to ensure the performance and durability of hydraulic components used in our products.

Key responsibilities

• Create test plans and set up test rigs for hydraulic component verification.
• Execute reliability and verification tests, including pressure, leak and performance evaluations.
• Collect and analyse test data using specialized equipment and software.
• Identify, diagnose and resolve issues such as leaks, low pressure or component failures.
• Maintain detailed records and prepare reports for internal and client stakeholders.
• Participate in the development and review of test procedures and communicate findings to development teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field.
• Hands‑on experience in laboratory testing, experimental setup assembly and hydraulic system validation.
• Proven ability in product failure analysis and root‑cause troubleshooting of mechanical or fluid components.
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken.

Required skills

• Fluid mechanics and hydraulic circuit knowledge.
• Experience with valves, pumps and fluid power components.
• Testing methodologies for hydraulic systems.
• Use of measurement instruments and sensors (pressure, flow, temperature).
• Data acquisition tools and diagnostic equipment.
