Reliability Engineer

About the role

As a Reliability Engineer at SBM Offshore, you will ensure the reliability of offshore production units by conducting reliability studies, leading root‑cause analyses, and supporting incident investigations. You will translate findings into actionable improvements for maintenance plans and help standardise reliability strategies across the fleet.

Key responsibilities

• Support incident investigations and follow‑up on corrective actions.
• Maintain the Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS) during the operations phase.
• Administer continuous‑improvement processes and business procedures.
• Implement Maintenance Efficiency Audit programmes to guarantee work‑order quality.
• Define, develop and publish Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and plan maintenance strategies to meet yearly targets.
• Liaise with unit teams to ensure clear execution of reliability strategies.
• Monitor equipment performance and reliability metrics, identify issues and recommend improvements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in maintenance management (5 years preferred).
• Experience in the oil & gas sector is desirable.
• Strong understanding of maintenance planning and CMMS usage.
