Relationship Manager

About the role

Planet is seeking a Relationship Manager to own the growth, retention and overall satisfaction of its mid‑market Payments and Tax‑Free accounts. You will act as the primary point of contact for assigned customers, driving revenue through upselling and ensuring a seamless experience.

Key responsibilities

• Identify upsell opportunities, negotiate contracts and meet booking quotas to drive revenue growth.
• Conduct remote or in‑person business reviews and coordinate meetings with Planet’s specialist teams.
• Handle and resolve customer escalations, ensuring high levels of satisfaction.
• Develop strategic account plans outlining objectives, pain points and commercial opportunities.
• Coordinate contract renewals and repricing to maximise retention.
• Actively upsell and cross‑sell Planet products, working closely with internal teams to meet implementation timelines.
• Monitor customer performance data, detect churn signals and implement corrective actions.
• Stay up‑to‑date with industry trends, compliance and product knowledge.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams such as Support, Pre‑sales, Implementation, Finance, Marketing and Executive Sponsors.

Required profile

• Proven ability to manage mid‑market accounts and drive revenue growth.
• Strong commercial mindset with experience in contract negotiation and upselling.
• Excellent communication skills for business reviews and escalation handling.
• Strategic thinking to create and execute account plans.
