Railway Signalling Engineer

About the role

Siemens Mobility is seeking a Railway Signalling Engineer to support the development and implementation of mission‑critical safety systems for rail signalling projects. The role combines technical design, testing, and on‑site commissioning while collaborating closely with customers and internal teams.

Key responsibilities

• Implement tasks related to mission‑critical safety systems in compliance with quality, safety, health and environmental standards.
• Gather and negotiate customer requirements, translate them into design solutions, and prepare technical specifications for projects of varying complexity.
• Develop and integrate hardware, software, and system solutions, and conduct internal and client‑led laboratory tests.
• Perform on‑site commissioning, testing, and support client training sessions.
• Write handbooks and documentation, and contribute to work‑plan creation and project planning.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronics Engineering, Computer Science Engineering or a related field.
• Strong computer‑science fundamentals and proficient English communication skills.
• Experience with Microsoft Windows, Word and Excel.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally, with possible assignments abroad.

Required skills

• Programming languages: Java, Python, C, C++, shell scripting.
• Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Windows operating system.
• Project execution tools such as MS Project.
• AutoCAD.
