Quality Project Manager

About the role

Airbus Portugal is looking for a Quality Project Manager to lead the planning, scheduling and execution of complex projects while keeping them within budget, on schedule and to quality requirements. The role sits in the Programme & Project Management family and involves setting up project management processes, monitoring progress and working with internal teams, partners and clients.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the planning, scheduling and execution of complex projects, adhering to budget, schedule and quality requirements.
• Establish and maintain project management processes and standards, including reporting, risk management and change control.
• Monitor project budgets, forecast costs and ensure financial objectives are met.
• Create presentations using G Suite for stakeholder, board and client meetings.
• Facilitate workshops and brainstorming sessions, manage documentation, prepare reports and run post-meeting reviews.
• Identify risks and develop mitigation strategies, and coordinate with stakeholders to align goals and expectations.
• Track milestones, monitor progress and report regularly on project status.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
• Minimum 2-3 years of project management experience in the aerospace industry.
• Proven track record of delivering complex projects from start to finish.
• Experience in a matrix organisation and managing cross-functional teams.
• Understanding of aerospace regulations, safety standards and industry best practices.
• Business fluent English; German desirable.

Required skills

• Familiarity with project management methodologies and tools.
• Strong leadership, decision-making, communication and problem-solving skills.
• MS Office and G Suite.
