Quality Inspector I – 2nd Shift (1:30pm‑10pm)

About the role

The Quality Inspector I works on the 2nd shift (1:30 pm‑10 pm, Monday‑Friday) inspecting labels, pids and pouches to ensure packing operations meet specifications. The role involves sampling, data recording, and making accept/reject decisions while maintaining rigorous quality documentation.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect labels, pids and pouches visually to approve packing operations.
• Obtain and inspect samples against specifications, record data and make accept/reject decisions.
• Verify dimensions, cavity measures, pressure and other product specifications using gauges and testing equipment.
• Follow quality control inspection criteria to release acceptable lots or reject for re‑work.
• Maintain and update quality control records, blueprints, procedures and documentation.
• Assist in training new QA inspectors and conduct spot audits in manufacturing areas.
• Operate forklift or jack pallets for raw material handling when required.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; one year experience in an FDA‑regulated manufacturing environment preferred.
• Ability to stand for long periods and work 2nd shift (1:30 pm‑10 pm, Monday‑Friday).
• Driver’s license for heavy vehicles preferred.

Required skills

• Use of measuring gauges and testing equipment such as optical comparator, micrometer, calipers, go‑no‑go gauges, pin gauges, microscope, and air pressure gauges.
• Statistical process control techniques.
• Reading and interpreting technical drawings, specifications and quality control procedures in English.
• Forklift operation and pallet handling.
