Maintenance Technician – Equipment (12‑hr Shifts)

About the role

The Maintenance Technician will maintain and support manufacturing equipment for a company serving the medical device, pharmaceutical and biotechnology sectors. The role involves executing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and electronic systems, and minimizing equipment downtime on a 12‑hour shift schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Perform troubleshooting and repairs on lathes, freezers, furnaces and other manufacturing equipment.
• Execute preventive maintenance (PM) tasks and complete work plans to reduce downtime.
• Inspect, test, and diagnose machinery to ensure efficient operation.
• Manage work orders and PM activities in the CMMS, ensuring accurate entry and closure.
• Support spare‑part inventory control and process parts requisitions.
• Assist with equipment qualifications, process validations, equipment transfers and utility system documentation.
• Conduct effective shift handoffs to communicate equipment status and priorities.

Required profile

• Associate or technical degree from a recognized institution.
• Availability to work 12‑hour shifts, including nights and weekends.
• Experience in regulated manufacturing environments (medical devices, pharma, biotech).
• Knowledge of CMMS platforms such as Maximo, SAP or Oracle.
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish (spoken and written).

Required skills

• Mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electronic troubleshooting.
• Use of CMMS (Maximo, SAP, Oracle) for work order management.
