Quality Control Analyst – Incoming Materials

About the role

Hikma is seeking an Analyst, Quality Control – Incoming Material to join its on‑site laboratory team in Portugal. You will be responsible for ensuring that raw materials, excipients, primary packaging, and utilities meet both compendial and internal specifications.

Key responsibilities

• Stay updated with regulatory and quality standards, GXP compliance and SOP adherence.
• Maintain quality KPIs and other key metrics.
• Perform laboratory analyses of raw materials, excipients and primary packaging material.
• Conduct lab‑based testing of utilities such as water for injection, de‑ionised water, steam, compressed air and nitrogen, including line validations.
• Manage laboratory organization, cleanliness, equipment maintenance and consumables stock.
• Support other departments to improve workflow and communicate required activities.
• Assist management with laboratory investigations to define root causes.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry or a related field.
• Strong analytical and organizational abilities.
• Basic computer proficiency.
• Basic English verbal and written communication preferred.
• Problem‑solving mindset and ability to take initiative.
