Python & C# Backend Developer – Hybrid (Porto)

About the role

We are looking for a Backend Software Engineer to develop and support risk and credit applications within a dynamic financial‑services environment. The role is primarily focused on Python (about 60‑70% of the time) while also using C# for backend development, with occasional UI‑related tasks.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and test multiple application components.
• Gather, document, analyse and manage application requirements in an Agile environment.
• Challenge existing processes and propose improvements, especially in performance and reliability.
• Collaborate with international delivery teams and facilitate workshops with business stakeholders.

Required profile

• Proficiency in Python, C#, SQL and T‑SQL.
• Experience with ORM or micro‑ORM tools such as Dapper and Web API development.
• Automated testing experience using pytest, NUnit or Selenium.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and Azure DevOps.
• Git source‑code management.
• Knowledge of XL Release and XL Deploy.
• English proficiency of at least B2 level.
