Public Relations Associate

About the role

Cloudflare is seeking a proactive Public Relations Associate for the EMEA region, based in Lisbon. Reporting to the EMEA PR Lead, you will help scale the communications program across the region, crafting compelling stories and securing high‑impact coverage.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the PR Director, EMEA with editorial calendar, content creation, execution, reporting and agency coordination.
• Focus on partner PR, regional speaking opportunities and media awards.
• Promote press releases, blog posts and other materials for regional communications initiatives.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams including engineering, legal, policy, partner marketing and executive leadership.
• Organize media briefings, interviews and PR‑focused events.
• Maintain strong media relationships, develop story ideas and manage story pipelines.
• Support inbound media requests and manage day‑to‑day PR operations across EMEA.

Required profile

• Strong interest in technology and ability to translate complex technical innovations into clear narratives.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, cross‑functional environment.
• Proactive, detail‑oriented and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.

Required skills

• Experience with media relations and press outreach.
• Familiarity with PR tools and agency coordination.
• Ability to organize events, briefings and interviews.
