Project Engineer

About the role

Based in Ovar, Portugal, you will join an international engineering team that creates customised racking and mezzanine solutions for a wide range of customers. The role involves translating customer requirements into technically sound layouts, calculations and cost estimates.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse RFQs and internal reports to understand customer needs.
• Develop the most efficient technical solution, including 2‑D AutoCAD drawings, structural calculations, technical descriptions, Bill of Materials and cost estimates.
• Collaborate with other engineers to improve accuracy, quality and efficiency of designs.
• Maintain project documentation according to internal guidelines.
• Provide technical advice to the sales team and attend technical meetings with customers.

Required profile

• Academic degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering.
• Previous experience in structural design of metallic structures and static calculations (seismic knowledge a plus).
• Proficiency with MS Office tools, especially Excel, Outlook and Teams.
• Fluent English, both spoken and written.
• Willingness to travel abroad occasionally for training.
• Proactive, autonomous and strong problem‑solving abilities.
