Product Engineer – Systems & Product Configuration

About the role

ABB is looking for a Product Engineer who will own the development and maintenance of the product configurator and ensure seamless engineering support across projects. You will collaborate with product managers, manufacturing, and agile teams to deliver cost‑effective, high‑performance solutions for customers.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the product configurator, defining configurations and roles according to design specifications.
• Supervise and keep the MM status up‑to‑date for all active parts, ensuring engineering parameters are correct.
• Provide assistance with production order BOMs when changes are required.
• Support IT in developing and maintaining SAP transactions and external tools used in product engineering.
• Create and maintain ABB global part numbers (1SDA and EAN).
• Manage configuration engineering change processes.
• Support laser marking activities from a system standpoint (ZLASER).

Required profile

• Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Positive, proactive, collaborative mindset with strong communication skills.
• Fluency in English.
• Commitment to ABB’s core values of safety and integrity.
