Product Engineer

About the role

agap2 indústria is seeking a motivated Product Engineer to join its Porto‑area team. You will work on end‑to‑end product development, turning concepts into manufacturable solutions that meet the company’s high standards for quality, safety and sustainability.

Key responsibilities

• Lead product development from initial concept through to production launch.
• Define product specifications, technical requirements and performance targets.
• Coordinate design reviews, engineering change orders and documentation.
• Collaborate closely with manufacturing, quality, purchasing and external suppliers.
• Support prototype construction, testing, validation and continuous improvement activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Proven experience as a Mechanical Engineer, preferably in an industrial or manufacturing setting.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical engineering principles, materials and manufacturing processes.
• Familiarity with industrial standards, safety regulations and quality control procedures.
• Excellent problem‑solving abilities and clear communication skills.
• Detail‑oriented, organized and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.

Required skills

• Proficiency with CAD/CAE software for design and analysis.
