Procurement Sustainability Specialist

About the role

Airbus Portugal is looking for a Procurement Sustainability Specialist for its Airbus GBS team in Coimbra. You will manage end-to-end sustainability topics for a specific commodity, entity or supplier portfolio with minimal supervision, and help embed sustainability into procurement and supplier selection.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full sustainability lifecycle for a defined commodity, entity or supplier portfolio with minimal supervision.
• Identify and suggest improvements to existing Source-to-Pay (S2P) sustainability practices and tools.
• Work directly with internal and external stakeholders to drive corrective action plans and ensure adherence to Airbus sustainability criteria.
• Influence internal stakeholders so that sustainability requirements are integrated into standard procurement processes and supplier selection criteria.
• Guide junior colleagues on technical tools and established procurement practices.

Required profile

• University degree in Business, Supply Chain, Environmental Science or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
• Deep understanding of sustainability principles (carbon footprint, environmental compliance, Scope 3 emissions) and how they fit with procurement and supply chain.
• Advanced proficiency in procurement systems and ESG criteria and ways of working.
• Strong analytical mindset, able to interpret complex data and work independently on standard operational issues.
• Fluent English, able to negotiate and meet in teams; able to work in a dynamic, multicultural environment.
