Procurement Contract Specialist

About the role

Airbus Portugal is looking for a Procurement Contract Specialist in Lisbon. The role covers drafting, revising and negotiating standard procurement contracts, supporting contract administration and advising other business units on contractual matters. It sits in the Sourcing, Buying and Ordering job family.

Key responsibilities

• Draft new standard procurement contracts incorporating economic, commercial, technological, legal and risk-management requirements.
• Revise, optimise and develop existing standard procurement contracts.
• Prepare negotiations and draft contracts with the procurement commodity buyers, and negotiate complex amendments and settlement agreements during the contract lifecycle.
• Sign the contract validation form summarising the executive summary, main deviations, risks and opportunities.
• Analyse contracts during administration and resolve disputes or potential disputes with suppliers.
• Provide contract analysis, drafting, design and negotiation support to functions other than Procurement (except aircraft sales contracts).
• Advise internal stakeholders on contractual implications of internal projects, such as confidentiality and intellectual property.
• Develop Procurement Academy trainings and coach and train junior buyers on contracts and negotiations.

Required profile

• Degree or higher in Business, Legal, Economics or Engineering (5 years' experience).
• Experience in procurement, establishing and negotiating contracts is desirable.
• Fluency in English sufficient for negotiations; fluency in French, German or Spanish is highly desirable.
• Ability to work in a multicultural environment and to travel domestically and internationally occasionally on short notice.
