Procurement Buyer – Recycled Materials (rPET)

About the role

Klöckner Pentaplast is seeking a Procurement Buyer to manage the sourcing and allocation of recycled PET (rPET) across its European operations. You will ensure supply continuity, monitor market trends, and support sustainability initiatives in a fast‑evolving circular materials market.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate rPET demand and supply across European sites, guaranteeing continuity and effective allocation.
• Monitor market dynamics, pricing trends and supply risks, communicating impacts to stakeholders.
• Maintain price lists and procurement data in ERP systems (e.g., SAP) with high accuracy.
• Support supplier onboarding, validation and performance management (quality, delivery, compliance).
• Collaborate with Quality, Sustainability and Operations teams on supplier approval and development.
• Track sustainability and regulatory developments related to recycled plastics.
• Execute contracts, manage purchase orders and day‑to‑day supplier interactions.
• Contribute to continuous‑improvement initiatives and enhance procurement processes.

Required profile

• 2–5 years of experience in procurement, sourcing or supply chain, preferably in plastics, recycling or raw materials.
• Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail, especially in pricing and data management.
• Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP) and advanced Excel capabilities.
• Solid negotiation and stakeholder‑management abilities.
• Ability to work across multiple sites and functions.
