PR Specialist – Automotive (Lisbon)

About the role

The PR Specialist will build and maintain strong relationships with key media contacts in Spain, securing positive coverage for BYD’s automotive brand. Working closely with the Marketing team, you will develop and execute press and PR strategies that support the company’s business objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Execute internal and external communication plans.
• Write, coordinate, and distribute press releases and related activities.
• Maintain cooperative relationships with press, media, digital influencers and PR agencies.
• Document PR resources, develop media contacts and ensure brand visibility.
• Monitor publicity, conduct research and analyse the impact of PR activities.
• Collaborate on PR events, promote projects and integrate feedback into future actions.
• Act as a brand ambassador, always keeping the customer in mind.

Required profile

• University degree in Public Relations, Corporate Communication, Marketing or related field.
• 5+ years of PR and communication experience in the automotive industry.
• Fluent written and spoken English and Portuguese.
• Customer‑oriented mindset with strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to prioritize, meet deadlines and work proactively.
• Results‑driven, resilient and open‑minded.
