Platform Engineer – Compute

About the role

The Platform Engineering Compute team owns the cloud platform architecture that powers Feedzai’s services. As a Professional Platform Engineer you will own key areas of the platform, influence design decisions and drive automation and tooling improvements.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain Kubernetes Operators and platform services, including deployment, monitoring and operations.
• Develop in Go (or similar languages) following team standards and best practices.
• Automate cloud infrastructure, incident response and improve self‑healing reliability.
• Create and refine playbooks, runbooks and alerting to streamline incident handling.
• Maintain and evolve the product deployment pipeline and GitOps practices such as FluxCD and Argo CD.
• Participate in incident response, root‑cause analysis and post‑incident improvements.
• Use AI‑assisted development tools (e.g., Cursor) to accelerate delivery.
• Extend Infrastructure‑as‑Code and manage platform lifecycle (monitoring, security, cost, backup) in production.
• Improve developer experience and platform capabilities for product teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent.
• 2+ years of hands‑on experience in platform engineering, DevOps or cloud infrastructure.
• Strong programming skills in Go, Java or similar languages.
• Hands‑on experience with containers and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab) and GitOps solutions (FluxCD, Argo CD).
• Experience with at least one major cloud provider (AWS or GCP) and cloud‑native patterns.
• Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools (Grafana, Prometheus).
• Experience with Infrastructure‑as‑Code (Terraform, Crossplane) and platform lifecycle management.
• Self‑driven, collaborative and motivated to continuously improve the platform.
