Plasma Processing Technician (Bilingual – English/Spanish)

About the role

The Plasma Processing Technician supports the collection, testing, storage and shipment of plasma units from donors. Working under the Assistant Center Manager, the technician follows strict SOPs to maintain product quality and safety while handling samples in a bilingual (English/Spanish) environment.

Key responsibilities

• Collect plasma samples and transfer units to freezers according to SOPs.
• Verify labeling accuracy by matching pre‑printed and dynamic labels.
• Apply sterile technique and operate heat sealers to ensure sample sterility.
• Prepare and document shipping, disposal and temperature monitoring records.
• Calibrate equipment daily and report any temperature or equipment variances.
• Enter donor data accurately into the electronic donor information management system.
• Maintain a clean work area, manage supplies and follow HSE and OSHA policies.
• Assist in other areas as cross‑training requires and perform additional duties as assigned.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum three months experience in a laboratory or warehouse setting (preferred).
• Ability to perform basic math calculations.
• Physical ability to stand, walk, lift up to 25 lb and use manual dexterity.
• Willingness to work overtime and wear required PPE.
• Bilingual English/Spanish skills may be required.
