Medical Screener / Reception Technician (Bilingual English/Spanish)

About the role

This position supports donors at a plasma collection center by greeting them, completing registration, and conducting health screenings. The role requires bilingual communication (English/Spanish) and ensures donors understand the process, fees, and center policies.

Key responsibilities

• Welcome donors and verify eligibility according to SOPs.
• Collect health information, answer basic medical questions, and refer to medical staff when needed.
• Perform vital sign measurements (blood pressure, pulse, weight, temperature) and finger‑stick sampling for hematocrit and protein levels.
• Enter donor data accurately into the electronic management system.
• Answer phone calls, direct inquiries, and maintain donor flow communication with supervisors.
• Monitor donors for adverse reactions during and after apheresis and alert appropriate staff.
• Maintain a clean work environment, manage supplies, and follow HSE and OSHA guidelines.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least three months of clerical or customer‑service experience, preferably in a medical or health‑care setting.
• Ability to perform basic math calculations.
• Bilingual English/Spanish skills as needed.
