P2P Team Leader – French Speaker

About the role

Sodexo Business Services in Portugal is seeking a dynamic P2P (Payables) Team Leader who is fluent in French and English. You will lead a team of 10‑15 professionals, ensuring high‑quality supplier payment processes while supporting the company’s growth across European markets.

Key responsibilities

• Build, manage and motivate a team of 10‑15 direct reports.
• Support career development, set performance targets and monitor SLAs.
• Handle complex and escalated cases, oversee workload distribution and drive tactical performance improvements.
• Conduct onboarding, training, regular performance reviews and administer employee rewards.
• Develop and document procedures, deputise for the department manager as needed.
• Execute month‑end close for the P2P sub‑ledger, manage payments, monitor audits and handle vendor inquiries.
• Lead continuous‑improvement projects, process automation and invoice‑processing transformation initiatives.

Required profile

• Advanced proficiency in English and French.
• Degree preferred; accounting qualification a plus.
• Proven experience in P2P functions and people management.
• Pro‑active, action‑oriented and comfortable in a changing environment.
• Strong coaching, stakeholder influence and data‑analysis capabilities.
• Desire to progress within Sodexo and alignment with company values.
