Financial Planning & Analysis Business Analyst

About the role

Join Sodexo Business Services Portugal as an FP&A Business Analyst, supporting forecasting, planning and reporting across the Continental Region while collaborating with finance leaders and business units.

Key responsibilities

• Support forecasting, planning and reporting processes across the Continental Region.
• Ensure timely and accurate collection of P&L, Balance Sheet, and multi‑dimensional analytical data in the group reporting system.
• Provide support to stakeholders such as Country CFOs, FP&A peers, Business Unit Finance Directors and Regional CFO.
• Assist peers in preparing ad‑hoc reports and performance analytics (GP analysis, price‑volume, budget vs actual).
• Contribute to monthly performance decks with first‑line commentary.
• Coordinate with peers to deliver efficient month‑end closing reporting through automation and standardisation.
• Participate in ad‑hoc and continuous‑improvement projects, including documentation review and updates.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field.
• 2–4 years of experience in Controlling / FP&A, preferably in a multinational environment.
• Solid knowledge of P&L and Balance Sheet with experience in variance analysis (budget vs actual, GP, price/volume).
• Fluent written and spoken English.
• Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail and ability to provide clear first‑line commentary.
• Organized with strong prioritisation skills and ability to meet tight deadlines.
• Team player who collaborates with peers and stakeholders and is eager to learn.
