Operational Permanent Controller – French & English – Porto – Hybrid

About the role

We are looking for an Operational Permanent Controller to join our Permanent Control team at the European Service Center in Porto. In this role you will support local OPC teams across countries, ensuring the reliability of accounting and financial information while mitigating operational risks in line with BNP Paribas Group Finance and Cardif expectations.

Key responsibilities

• Produce and deliver French and IFRS France controls on schedule to Cardif Management and Finance Control teams, complying with relevant regulations and standards.
• Conduct analytical reviews to monitor and continuously improve control processes implemented in France.
• Serve as liaison between Production and Finance Control teams, facilitating clear and timely communication.
• Report activities to manager and team with transparency and accuracy.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional partners including Data, Accounting, Finance Control and Group Compliance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Management, Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in Accounting, Risk, Internal Control, Audit or Compliance, preferably within the insurance sector.
• Strong understanding of internal control frameworks and operational risk management.
• Knowledge of audit, operational risk and compliance practices.
• Fluency in French and English (C1/C2 level).
• Detail‑oriented with a strong analytical mindset.
