New Product Introduction Buyer

About the role

The New Product Introduction (NPI) Buyer at TE Connectivity plays a pivotal role in bringing new products to market. Working closely with engineering, quality, supply chain and manufacturing teams, you will manage procurement activities throughout the product development lifecycle to ensure timely, cost‑effective, and high‑quality launches.

Key responsibilities

• Manage procurement for new product development and industrialisation projects.
• Support supplier sourcing, RFQ processes and commercial negotiations.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to drive supplier selection based on cost, quality and project requirements.
• Coordinate tooling, equipment and component purchases.
• Monitor project timing, costs, risks and supplier performance.
• Conduct market research to identify cost‑improvement opportunities.
• Lead supplier reviews, risk assessments and value‑engineering initiatives.
• Facilitate communication between internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
• Contribute to process improvements and ensure smooth hand‑over to serial production.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, Procurement, Operations or a related field.
• Experience in procurement, sourcing, supply chain or project‑management environments, preferably in automotive or industrial manufacturing.
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast‑paced environment.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and organisational skills.
• Experience working with cross‑functional and international teams.
• Negotiation and supplier‑management experience.
• Technical understanding of manufacturing and production processes is an advantage.
• Fluent English; additional European languages are a plus.
• Willingness to travel occasionally as business needs require.
