Network Development Associate

About the role

As a founding member of Dedale’s new Lisbon office, you will build and nurture a network of senior industry experts to support strategic intelligence projects. You will have the opportunity to grow from hands‑on sourcing to shaping the office’s strategy as it scales.

Key responsibilities

• Cold‑call and directly approach senior executives and subject‑matter experts to introduce Dedale and build lasting relationships.
• Develop deep, C‑suite level connections, moving beyond transactional outreach to become a trusted point of contact.
• Identify and source high‑quality industry experts through LinkedIn, professional networks, events, and targeted outreach.
• Qualify expert profiles via phone screening, assessing experience, seniority, and fit for specific research mandates.
• Coordinate with research analysts and project leads to translate mandate requirements into a focused sourcing strategy.
• Maintain long‑term pipelines of vetted experts across priority B2B technology and software sectors.
• Track and improve sourcing funnel performance, including outreach response and conversion rates.
• Maintain accurate expert records in the internal database and pilot new sourcing channels to expand the global network.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree with 1‑3 years of experience in sourcing, business development, recruitment, or a similar relationship‑driven role.
• Excellent verbal communication skills; confident and persuasive on cold calls to senior executives.
• Strong drive to succeed in a high‑volume, target‑oriented outreach environment.
• Resilient and persistent, comfortable with rejection and maintaining motivation.
• Organized with the ability to work from a structured database or CRM.
• Prior experience in executive search, headhunting, sales development (BDR/SDR), or recruitment agencies is a strong advantage.
