Associate Consultant Intern – Summer 2027 (Lisbon)

About the role

Mastercard’s Advisors & Consulting Services team is looking for an Associate Consultant Intern for the summer of 2027 in Lisbon. You will join small, cross‑functional teams that support strategic consulting projects for leading brands across industries such as financial services, retail, hospitality and more. The internship offers hands‑on experience in data‑driven problem solving, client interaction and exposure to Mastercard’s technology platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with small teams to deliver consulting projects and support business development, account management and product management activities.
• Analyze data, identify trends and translate insights into actionable recommendations for clients.
• Create clear presentations and visualisations for internal stakeholders and client audiences.
• Structure problem‑solving approaches, explore solutions and contribute to end‑to‑end consulting engagements.
• Participate in volunteer and team‑building experiences and network with Mastercard leadership.
• Build relationships with clients to understand their needs and help guide strategic decisions.

Required skills

• SQL for data extraction and analysis.
• Python for data manipulation and modelling.
• Experience with Business Intelligence platforms to create visualisations and dashboards.
