Mid-level Software Engineer – Hybrid, Lisbon

About the role

Wire IT is looking for a Mid-level Software Engineer to join its Lisbon team. You will work on designing and developing scalable, flexible, and customizable software solutions while collaborating with product, operations, and content stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Contribute to the design and implementation of scalable software systems.
• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code in Python, Node.js or C#.
• Model data and optimise queries for relational and non‑relational databases.
• Collaborate on software architecture decisions and system adaptability.
• Participate in technical discussions, code reviews and continuous‑improvement initiatives.
• Work closely with cross‑functional teams to deliver high‑quality features.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Software Engineer building scalable solutions.
• Hands‑on experience with at least one of the following: Python, Node.js, or C#.
• Solid understanding of software architecture principles.
• Experience with relational and/or non‑relational databases, including data modelling and query optimisation.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
• Effective communication and a proactive attitude in team settings.
