Mid-level Backend Software Engineer (Java)

About the role

Our development team is looking for a mid‑level Backend Software Engineer to join an agile squad. You will work on the full software lifecycle, delivering high‑performance services that power a globally‑scaled platform.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain backend services using Java (8+) and related technologies.
• Collaborate with product owners to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Write unit, component and integration tests and ensure code quality through continuous integration pipelines.
• Participate in code reviews, documentation, and performance tuning of high‑concurrency, high‑transaction systems.
• Support the team in troubleshooting and optimizing client‑server interactions (SOAP, REST).

Required profile

• At least 3 years of professional experience developing backend applications in Java.
• Strong understanding of object‑oriented programming and design patterns.
• Excellent communication skills in English (and Portuguese is a plus) and a collaborative mindset.
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a healthy team environment.
