Mechatronics Engineer – Robotics Platform

About the role

Datamentors is building an agnostic orchestration platform for robots and developing Vision‑Language‑Action models. As a Mechatronics Engineer you will design the mechanical structure and electronic circuit boards for our quadruped, mobile and humanoid robot lines.

Key responsibilities

• Own mechanical assemblies, drivetrains and electronics integration from concept to production.
• Drive Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and conduct Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA).
• Collaborate with the Product Designer on body, joints, mounts and tolerancing.
• Lead PCB, wiring and sensor integration with assembly‑line scalability in mind.
• Act as the bridge between R&D and Manufacturing, ensuring both sides stay aligned.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in mechatronic or electromechanical engineering, preferably on robots or comparable products.
• Hands‑on experience taking a prototype through to repeatable assembly.
• Familiarity with motors, sensors, batteries and onboard compute.
• Background in robotics, drones or automotive is a strong plus.

Required skills

• Strong CAD skills (SolidWorks, Onshape or similar).
• PCB design tooling and electronics integration.
• Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA).
• Mechanical design, drivetrain engineering, and prototype development.
