Mechanical Engineer PE

About the role

CSA Group is seeking a licensed Mechanical Engineer with extensive HVAC design experience to join its growing team. The role involves delivering high‑quality mechanical designs for complex building projects in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design HVAC, plumbing and piping systems for commercial and industrial projects.
• Prepare design documents for permitting, bidding and construction phases.
• Conduct site surveys and field measurements of existing conditions.
• Perform cooling and heating load calculations using Trane Trace software.
• Write technical reports on HVAC system designs.
• Participate in client meetings during design and construction stages.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 10‑15 years of HVAC design experience.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• Strong interest in continuous learning, especially in AI applications to comfort engineering.

Required skills

• Proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Proficiency in Revit.
• Proficiency in Bluebeam.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Experience with Trane Trace 700 or Trace 3D Plus for load calculations.
